This was going to be Friday’s post but I decided today was just as good as tomorrow. I wanted to post a track that had such a strong effect on me the first time I heard it, my jaw literally dropped. Very few songs have the power to completely blow my mind like this did. I first heard this on Anthony Pappa’s Nu Breed CD and I was already a Hybrid fan at that time. In context of the rest of the CD, at least every track leading up to this one, I felt like my head had just been blown off with this really being the pinnacle moment of the mix. Specifically this happened around the break at 2:09 which progresses until becoming a blinder at 4:47 when that bassline drops.
Unfortunately I don’t think this exists outside of the Nu Breed CD since the only version on the Utube I found was taken directly from Nu Breed. Enjoy:
Also, if you like this you really should get a hold of the Nu Breed album. 2 discs of absolutely mental progressive and breaks. Buy on Amazon
It’s more or less the Rolling Thunder Mix. In fact, try checking that mix out. The drop/breakdown is a little longer and deeper.
Thanks for the tip Fireside. You’re right, they are essentially the same, just some subtle differences between them. While looking for the Rolling Thunder mix, I saw that the Dark Skies mix was actually released outside of the Nu Breed CD and it appeared on the Theme From Wide Angle Remixes digital release (which also includes the Rolling Thunder mix) so I will have to get on that.
